FIRST RECORD OF SOME SPECIES OF LONGIDORID NEMATODES FROM SLOVAKIA

Resumo

Longidorus juvenilis Dalmasso, L. picenus Roca, Lamberti et Agostinelli, Xiphinema italiae Meyl, X. pacthtaicum (Tulaganov) Kirjanova and X. simile Lamberti, Choleva et Agostinelli are reported for the first time from Slovakia. It is hypothesized that L. juvenilis, L. picenus and X. italiae were introduced into the country by the ancient roman occupation and that X. simile spread from Slovakia to southeastern Europe. Biometrics and illustrations of the species are provided.
