In a greenhouse pot culture experiment, Heterodera cajani enhanced Fusarium udum pathogenicity in the wilt-susceptible pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) genotype 'ICP 2376', but reactions of the wilt-tolerant ('BDN l') and wilt-resistant ('ICP 8863') genotypes to the fungus were not altered by the nematode. Plants of 'ICP 8863' exhibited better (P = 0.05) growth than 'ICP 2376' and 'BDN l' when inoculated with the fungus. Nematode reproduction was reduced on all three lines when plants also were inoculated with F udum.
