Abstract

Parasitic nematode genera associated with different cultivars and clones of banana and plantain in Venezuela were identified in 377 samples composed of soil and roots and/or rhizomes from the following zones: 1) western Venezuela, south of Lake Maracaibo, States of Zulia, Merida, and Trujillo; 2) central region, States of Aragua, Carabobo, Miranda, and the Federal District; 3) central western region, State of Yaracuy; 4) central western region, States of Barinas and Portuguesa, and 5) eastern Venezuela, State of Sucre.
