Records of some plant parasiticnematodes in Greece with morphometrical descriptions

Abstract

Although there are several reports on the occurrence of plantparasitic nematodes in different areas of Greece (Hirschmann et al., 1966; Isaakides, 1935; Kalyviotis-Gazelas, 1971; Koliopanos and Kalyviotis- Gazelas, 1969, 1973, 1977; Kyrou, 1966; Pelekassis, 1962), in general little is known of their geographical distribution. This paper presents further information on the nematofauna of Greece with several nematodes and their host-plants reported for the first time. Morphometric characters are given for some of the species listed for comparison with the same species reported elsewhere.
