EFICIENCIA DE LA TÉCNICA RÁPIDA PARA DETECCIÓN DE NEMATODOS ENTOMOPATOGENOS (STEINEMEMATIDAE Y HETEROHABITIDAE) EN SUELO

Abstract

Suelo contaminado con dosis conocidas de juveniles infectivos de Heterorhabitis bacteriophora y/o Steinernema glaseri fue tratado mediante la técnica rápida para determiner cuántos nematodos se recuperan del suelo cuando una única especie. Los nematodos se recuperaron de los insectos parasitados por disección manual o digestión enzimática. La técnica mencionada permite detectar todos los juveniles infectivos activos cuando hay una única especie, poner en evidencia dos especies en una misma muestra y obtener los resultatdos en 48 horas. [The efficiency of the rapid technique was evaluated to determine how many nematodes can be recovered when a single species is present in the soil and whether it permits the detection of more than on species. The soil was artificially infested with infective juveniles belonging to Heterorhabditis bacteriophora and/or Steinernema glaseri. The nematodes were recovered and quantified by manual dissection or enzymatic digestion. The use of the technique allows the detection of all the active infective juveniles when a single species is present, and indicates the presence of two species in the same sample with the results obtained within 48 hours.]
