PARASSITISMO DI MELOIDOGYNE JAVANICA SU ALCUNE INFESTANTI DEGLI AGRUMI

Abstract

Due comuni infestanti presenti negli agrumenti dell'Italia meridionale, Setaria verticillata e Solanum nigrum, sono state rinvenute attaccate dal nematode galligeno Meloidogyne javanica. Entrambe le infestanti si di M. javanica sulle infestanti in pieno campo rappresenta un potenziale pericolo per gli agrumenti, dato che il nematode puó indurre Danni agli apparati radicali degli agrumi, moltiplicandosi sulle radici delle infestanti eventualmente presenti nella rizosfera. [Two weeds frequently found in citrus orchards in Southern Italy, Setaria verticillata and Solanum nigrum, were found parasitized by the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne javanica. Both species supported nematode development and reproduction. The presence of M. javanica on weeds in the field is a potential threat for citrus as the nematode can induce root damage when multiplying on concomitant weed roots present in the citrus rhizosphere.]
