Undergraduate Research: Benefits for Students, Professors, and the College
Abstract
Undergraduate research is novel research conducted by college undergraduate students guided with the mentoring of professors within the research disciplines. Undergraduate research has grown within the United States over the past three decades and the benefits to students, professors, and the college/university became clear. Students gain discipline knowledge, research experience, and career exposure. Professors gain research personnel and knowledge propagation. The college gains positive exposure and marketing opportunities. Undergraduate research is a clear win for all.
