Guinea’s Gold Sheds Light on the Difficulties of Reforming North-South Exploitation

Guinea is an exemplary case of North-South exploitation, as well as of the ambiguities involved on both sides. This is what is shown by the case of its foreign-stored gold reserves and the dubious attempts of Guinea’s current military junta to take back control. The solution lies in reforms on both sides.
